SNAPDRAGON STADIUM | SAN DIEGO, CA

San Diego State University’s (SDSU) Snapdragon Stadium is designed as a
multi-use entertainment hub for the entire San Diego community. With a
capacity of 35,000, the stadium is home to the San Diego State University
Aztecs football team, San Diego Legion and San Diego Wave FC. Additionally,
the stadium annually hosts a variety of concerts, festivals, championships and
other entertainment events.

CHALLENGE

Today’s fans rely on their mobile devices for everything from mobile ticketing
to documenting memories. Keeping guests connected was a priority in the
overall fan experience at Snapdragon Stadium. Reliable cellular service in a
space with such a high density of mobile users was essential to meet this
need.

  • Facility-wide cellular coverage, including gates, concourses and surrounding
    parking lots
  • Wireless network availability for Tier One carriers

BOINGO SOLUTIONS

Boingo designed a distributed antenna system (DAS</a >) to deliver a premium fan experience.

  • Increased neutral host network capacity for voice and mobile data users
across the venue, including administrative offices, press boxes and locker rooms
    in addition to fan-occupied spaces
  • 24/7 network monitoring and customer care with on-demand data and analytics

OUTCOME

Boingo’s DAS solution helps Snapdragon Stadium deliver a fan-first experience
